Okay people: who has one of those e-ink notepad thingies? I know a lot of friends swear by the Remarkable 2, and I've played with it, but couldn't quite fall in love with it. But I've been looking at the Supernote A6X and thinking... you know... that looks like it would work for me. But... still... not sure I can justify the price, which is quite high.

@denysbeecher @mmasnick I love my remarkable, but until I had it, I was always going "there is no way I will use this thing enough for the pricetag to be worth it"

@wqsaves @mmasnick Main purpose I see for it would be to transfer the handwritten notes I like to take during hearings into our case management software later for other people to be able to refer to.

@denysbeecher @mmasnick being able to put a PDF onto it and then scribble on the PDF is my favorite feature. The note taking is really good, the PC app is actually not terrible, and being able to screenshare to a PC which I can then share over zoom has been kind of handy once or twice

@wqsaves @mmasnick How non-techy friendly is it? Another use I've thought of for one in the office is to let older attorneys who still like to make handwritten edits to drafts so we don't have to keep printing things for them over and over again. But obviously that means the PDF markup process has to be very straightforward.

@wqsaves @mmasnick Like if I handed one to someone with the document already on screen and said "here's a pen, mark it up however you like" are they going to be able to relatively easily use the pen and navigate pages without accidentally doing something else?

@denysbeecher @mmasnick it's actually really good for that. It works exactly like a printed copy. Swipe left, swipe right, write down whatever you want, as long as you don't press the little toolbar button all the way in the top left. YOu can't interact with the PDF proper at all
