Detroit LightningOne of the things I liked about Mastodon was Goose fans didn’t bend over backwards to kiss band member’s asses. with the arrival of the most active band member on socials I may have to vacate another site. This disappoints no one.

@chopaganda Dude is just not that nice. He’s a bro and has demonstrated on many occasions and I find it absurd how people take such a respected stand against worshiping jerks UNLESS they are good at music.

@boelder @DetroitLightning The handsome one who doesn’t play guitar. Who by all accounts is a good guy. Seems silly to judge a person just based on their posts. Also, it must be a difficult situation to both want to interact with fans and kind of have a normal experience on social media while also having to keep a wall up because people can suck.

HapsInCO 🪿@DetroitLightning @chopaganda I’ve hung out with him many times just us an a friend or two and he is super nice. Went skiing with him at A Basin, and had a lot of fun with him. I can’t only speak for my encounters and they have been a lot of fun and he has always been nice to me. 🤷🏻
@chopaganda don’t you do rankings for the things that you hate most or have disappointed you most about Phish? How is my effort any different?

@chopaganda looking at my activity you’re 100% right, there’s plenty that I love about Goose that I don’t mention and for some reason I let the critiques fly. I’m not nearly as contrarian as it may seem. I think I see an imbalance of critique for other bands so I react with some unconscious defensiveness and feel it needs to be balanced for Goose.
