It’s past time for the #NewYork police to stop rerouting traffic to treat Trump as a visiting dignitary, when he’s in fact a criminal defendant. Let him find his way to the courthouse like anyone else. The Secret Service can accompany him as necessary.

@JamesGleick He has Secret Service protection as a former POTUS so I would imagine that is a request from the Secret Service.

@Litzz11 The Secret Service does not have the authority to reroute New York City traffic. They are not the boss of the NYPD. There’s no reason they can’t guard Trump without bringing the city to a standstill.
