Hitting Fox in the pocketbook doesn't work if they earn more from their lies thru increased cable demand fees than they pay out to the companies they've smeared.

The market isn't going to self-correct here. We need to find a way to actually stop the lies.

@georgetakei it's a shame Dominion caved. They had a solid case. They could have destroyed Fox by dragging every host on the witness stand. Justice not served.

@dpscifi @georgetakei

Dominion's primary duty is to their shareholders. $1.6 billion was their opening bid. They have settled in the middle. The advantage is it's money in the bag now not after many years of appeals and counter appeals or coming across the 'wrong' sort of juror or judge. Plus saves many millions in extra court costs if things went wrong.

The uncovering of those documents did far more than $1.6 billion damage to the #Murdoch reputation.

@dpscifi @georgetakei
Not caved. Civil suits are about $ not justice. Anybody think that Fox dug almost a $1B out of the couch cushions? Stock holders will not be happy, they will be under microscope. They released all the info they go .. you would not have seen anything new from the witness box. More suits coming .. Fox is going to be hurt by this ...
@Kevin_Wandtke @georgetakei why settle if it hurts? Because Fox knew the trial would be so much worse. Dominion lied when they said this was about reputation, it was about money.
