April 20 was the birthday of my maternal grandmother, so it will always be special to me. I don't know if she ever celebrated her birthday (she wasn't really the type), but it is a day I think of her.

And today it is. My maternal grandmother would have been 111 years today. Well, unlikely in any case – she was not the healthiest person.
She adored her grandchildren and doted on them, even when they weren't children any more. I saw her less when I went to the university, but I always liked spending time with her.
