Just got a baffling letter delivered. I got one from the NHS about a cholesterol study, but another identical one arrived with it, with the same address, but to some guy named Trung. Previous occupant, you might think? Well that might be a bit tricky because we're the first people to ever live at this address - it's a new build. Neighbour? Nope, I know the neighbours and the rest of the estate is still being built. I'm afraid Mysterious Trung's cholesterol shall have to go unstudied.
@gsuberland Off By One post code?
somebody trying to fraud the NHS?

@fbarton it's the right address and postcode matched on the letter so no.

my guess is someone put our address on someone else's file while registering a batch of new patients.

@gsuberland I don't know how unique your street name is... but

Main St... how many Main St's are there in different post codes?

heck along those lines... Main St. vs. Maine St...
Broadway. vs Broad St. vs. Broad Ave (all three of which are within walking distance of each other here)

@fbarton only one in this postcode. the UK doesn't do duplicate street names with the same postcode. we have multiple postcodes per street usually.

@gsuberland I was thinking more along the lines of "123 Main St, BA1 0BX" vs. "123 Main St. BA2 0BX"

but yeah, human input error somewhere along the lines

@fbarton ah nah, the only road near here with the same name has a different suffix (like Road, Street, Avenue, etc.) so it'd need to be a triple fuckup on the same entry.
