I generally didn’t have a safe spot on social media to talk about being “monogamish” what with being a teacher, but seeing as how I’m not one at the moment + this server be chill…I can talk about how fun my birding + lunch date was today with one of my besties 😀🐤
All four of us used to play together but then Covid happen + they had two kids and we had one kid so we are adapting. R took my wife out last week and I took A out today. We were looking for yellow-cheeked warblers and I THINK I saw one

We also saw a lizard (IDed as six-striped racerunner), we crossed a stream (she fell in a little on the way back 😅) and had an awesome lunch after.
Then we made out a little. ☺️
I hated fieldwork so much that this was the first time in years that I was just *out* looking for something for fun, no stakes. It’s been longer than that since I was on a date without my wife. And it was very exciting to reconnect with A after how touch and go everything has been with kiddos. A very nice day indeed.
