@caseynewton I posted to twitter today and I honestly think I'm done with it forever. the level of engagement there is almost non-existent at this point, and any attempt to gin up engagement just leads to trolling.
there is little reason to be on twitter anymore even if one has a completely mercenary attitude toward pointing an audience toward one's work, imho
There are a lot of people who only see Social Media (and microblogging in particular) as a branding/marketing/distribution channel.
I looked at Notes the other day, and it really was just Substackers saying, “Subscribe to my newsletter!”
And of course, they were not engaging with “civilians.”
Hard pass.
