👆 Some people: "animals aren't fully sentient and are incapable of having feelings".

(I call those people #morons.)

@fencoul @Lost_World I grew up in dairy farming country. Anyone who has heard a cow bellow for an hour when her calf is taken away will realise many animals do have feelings.
@pthane @fencoul @Lost_World that's why there is no milk in my home...ever
@fencoul @Lost_World there is this vocal minority that for example don't like cats because they are 'aloof' and 'emotionalless'. Personally, I think it's because they've never had a cat friend, because cats are huggers and cuddlers , and they probably predate dogs as human adjacent friends

Even those who accept the fact that animals think (even lie and scheme 8^), sometimes refuse to recognize that bottlenose dolphins are smarter than humans. They have no serious natural enemies, no need for shelter, agriculture or domestication of other animals, and no hands to build things.
They're brains are not only larger and more convoluted (more surface area), but also make more connections with neighboring brain cells.
@Lost_World This is such a beautiful image. May I have permission to use this image to use it in a body language post (this and other social media, presentations, etc.). Of course, if you'd like I'd absolutely give you credit for this image. Please email me at [email protected]
@Lost_World Love truly knows no bounds!

This is the true nature of mammals.

A few people want us to believe that evolution necessarily leads to heartless egoists. That is:

1. Poorly observed
2. Far away from the current state of science
3. Built primarily to justify the brutalization these people desire
