This week I heard on the radio that Canada is considered one of the friendliest nations. In a ranking of 85 countries we came in 5th according to the latest U.S. News Best Countries rankings and Adventure subranking. Our good nature likely comes from Canadians being generally happy and laid back, except when we're on hockey skates. Give a friendly wave to anyone you meet today.

@paulbusch I recently moved back to Canada after a decade in an EU country. I feared my memory of Canadians as kind and warm was just expat-fantasy. But nope: shopkeepers, customer service, and strangers on the street are still friendly, helpful and light-hearted.
