My legacy check is gone.

I'm done with Twitter.

@chrismessina what’s your anticipated future for Twitter vs Mastodon? Do you think people will start moving away from Twitter?

@danr I hope so, but I don't see a reason for them to — yet.

I've lost trust with the platform (which is saying a lot, considering Twitter's history) and it just doesn't deserve my attention when there are other more genuine initiatives underway. Mastodon is one, T2 is another, and even Bluesky is interesting.

I dunno, there's a new sherif in Twitter Town and I can't abide how he's laying down some new form of inscrutable law.

@chrismessina @danr Starting this month, I also decided to give Mastodon a spin because of the general feeling of instability on Twitter.

Banning links to other social networks (Mastodon, Substack) was a big mistake from Twitter, I think.

When finally the bird was replaced by a dog, and even Twitter OAuth had intermittent failures, I was convinced that things were going downhill.

So unhappy because I have been on Twitter since 2009. Quite happy here now! 😀
