In 2021, it was confirmed that both Stardust and Lennon Bros, the only two circuses using exotic animals in Australia (such as lions and monkeys) are no longer using exotic animals. This means that there are no exotic animal circuses in Australia! I am so glad this has happened.
@NuddaOz @CatherineRussell2 @Aprilsmum Yes, we thought so when we last saw a cub, who appeared happy with the fuss it was getting, although Mum, in a crate, wasn't happy. Children were able to pick it up - my StepD no 1 did this as an 11yr old, 45 years ago & was mesmerised when it feel asleep on her! But I was horrified to see it again about 5-7 years ago - no longer ago than that, I think.
