My 14-Hour Search for the End of TGI Friday's Endless Appetizers

What if I told you that mozzarella sticks never had to end? That for $10, you could eat for free (for $10) for the rest of your natural life? That there exists a spot in the space-time continuum in which it is always Friday? That there are free refills on all Slushes™ excluding Red Bull® branded items?

@codinghorror Has anyone followed up with Caity to see if she's suffered any long-term health effects.
@codinghorror Why did I read this whole horrifying story? What is wrong with me?
@rjschutten I’m wondering the same thing over here my friend!
@codinghorror wow this was surprisingly well written.

@codinghorror

Article is unfortunately from 2014
do not attempt to argue for unlimited apps with your current day wait staff.

@codinghorror This was a classic and it's still funny as hell. Mozzarella sticks was definitely the wrong appetizer call though. Holy christ 8k calories in one day, that's a week on the treadmill for me.
@rageous yeah this perplexed me as well. Why the WORST one?!?!!!
@codinghorror this is probably my favorite article ever. I read it in 2014 and still think of it often

@codinghorror

I admit it, I read the whole thing. I couldn’t believe the twist at the end!

After reading it, though, I felt compelled to make sure that the author had survived the ordeal. While I can’t confirm that she suffers no long-term effects, she did survive and writes for the NYT now:
