#Whatcha Reading? I'm rereading Tam Lin by Pamela Dean, which I have little memory of other than loving it. (I'm a sucker for any book set at college or boarding school. Miss Pym Disposes, Gaudy Night, Cat Among the Pigeons , Daddy-Long-Legs -- all gems.)

Reading it reminded me (unsurprisingly) of Fire and Hemlock by DWJ, which makes me wonder if there's any non creepy way to retell Tam Lin? But I don't know the ending yet.

@willaful I'm half way through "If Only You" by Chloe Liese. Despite my reservation about het romance, people keep recommending Liese's books for good autism rep.

It's fine, so far. I enjoy Liese's writing style, and I think the autistic FMC is written well and interesting.

The MMC, though, is rough for me. He's the "bad boy horny caveman who feels extremely broken but is actually a sweetheart but no one can know". That whole "I can save him from his frozen heart" thing. 🙄

@rick I'll have to try that one. She's hit or miss for me.

@willaful On reflection:

- Decent autism rep. Not amazing, as it’s not front and center. But nothing anyone could really complain about.
- Good general disability rep. MMC has gluten issues. Side characters with a ton of disabilities.
- Good romance arc. The MMC is a golden retriever & doesn’t do anything too stupid and dudebrosportsguy-ish.

My only complaints are around the male POV, with which allosexuals would probably be fine.

@rick It sounds worth a try.
