Crow's claim about buying it for a museum can't be squared with Thomas's mother still living in it after the purchase, the improvements made to the home, nor with Thomas breaking the law to keep it secret.

Harlan Crow Bought Property from Clarence Thomas. The Justice Didn’t Disclose the Deal.

The transaction is the first known instance of money flowing from Crow to the Supreme Court justice. The sale netted the GOP megadonor two vacant lots and the house where Thomas’ mother was living.

On the one hand, the Justice Thomas/Harlan Crow scandal is a bottomless wedding cake of graft, endlessly rising, each tier larger than the last, out of a lake of corruption-flavored fondant, captivating each observer with the question of how much more of this thing there could possibly BE.

But on the other hand, he should have been impeached before the little plastic Crow-and-Thomas figurines even cleared the surface. How long will we continue to stare before acting?
