@dangillmor I can't find the link at present, but I saw this recently equated to when public pools were ordered to be de-segregated and the white southerners just... got rid of public pools.

Seems accurate to my thinking.

That supposedly happened to a public pool in my hometown of Huntsville AL. While there are several excellent (and integrated) pools here now, every time I drive by the local city art museum, I imagine the filled-in public swimming pool formerly in the same spot.

@dangillmor I'm not saying only deeply ignorant people vote for the GOP, but the GOP act like they only think deeply ignorant people vote for them and want to make sure as many people don't have the chance to know anything as possible.
