It is time for the #BBC and #NPR to set up shop on #Mastodon. Same applies to all other serious news institutions.

They should set up their own servers. They have the means to do so and it just makes sense.

If anyone here still has a Twitter account, they should tweet that toot and tag them both. BBC just got tagged "government sponsored media" and they are LIVID. I think we all have historical experience with angry Englishmen 😅

Until now, I have seen more responses to Mastodon posts than Twitter, but in this case the difference is immense.
