The Texas MAGA federal judge banned Mifepristone because “FDA didn’t properly review its health risks” which is reportedly ~14 annual deaths.

Well, guess what, Viagra has ~200 annual reported deaths.

So…when do MAGAs ban Viagra??🤔

Oh right, never, because MAGA only cares about controlling women. They don't care that Mifepristone is incredibly safe for women, and even safer than childbirth. They only care about advancing their agenda to control women. Vote these MAGA Extremists out permanently

@QasimRashid I pretty much always love your posts,. But, those are bad statistics. How many deaths per pill would be a more logical comparison. But either way, that's a rathole. How many women's lives does this drug save might be a better point.

@RolandOfGilead @QasimRashid It's also not relevant. The law delegates the power and responsibilities of determining drug safety to the FDA not to Article III judges. If you have a concern about a drug's safety, you go through the FDA and their Article I Tribunal process. The job of the Article III court is only to determine whether the FDA is acting within the bounds of their delegated authority, not to second-guess their medical decisions.

@QasimRashid Not to brag, but I have a science Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley. I read the MAGA judge's opinion. His opinion is based on reasoning that would cause him to fail any high school science class. Pretty much every scientific fallacy is in there. BTW, I wonder if he thinks the moon actually gets bigger when it's close to the horizon.

@QasimRashid What is not clear is why a judge has any jurisdiction on this. It's a federal department, reporting to Biden. You as patient can sue the FDA in court if they failed to do something properly, but a federal court deals with laws. There is no law involved. You don't run the weather bureau by law, for example.

@QasimRashid Don't forget hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. As well as Donald Trump's "right to try" drugs not approved by the FDA. Since that Texas judge tried to repeal the Mifepristone approval from the FDA, that puts it in the "right to try" category, so it can still be prescribed...

@QasimRashid I've seen sovereign citizens come up with better legal reasoning than this judge. The notion that Article III courts have the power to micromanage regulatory agencies is farcical.

If we allow to stand as precedent the notion that any judge can simply decide that he knows better than medical experts at the FDA, or the environmental experts at the EPA, or the electronics experts at the FCC, the end result will be total chaos.

Why does the GOP not care if females live or die? This will contribute to our population going down even more. Gen Z and Millennials’ believe if they get pregnant they could die and they don’t want to take the risk. ( my kids are in these age groups). Mine are actively looking at leaving country. Found job openings in other countries.
