It is time for the #BBC and #NPR to set up shop on #Mastodon. Same applies to all other serious news institutions.

They should set up their own servers. They have the means to do so and it just makes sense.

Wordpress is removing twitter, and both tumblr and wordpress are trying to accomodate joining the fediverse, Mastodonia.

Edit, a former wordpress coder says that twitter support is not being dropped. twitter is malware

@kevinrns , this is clearly the trend. I just think the latest news indicate a need for urgency.

@jon @kevinrns WordPress is not removing Twitter at all, that's completely untrue.

Twitter disabled access to WordPress.com's social sharing feature, but restored it soon after.

The company behind WP.com and Tumblr is adding Mastodon support *in addition to* Twitter.

Oh thats so sad. I thought there was more spine.
