okay so in order to be able to back up my 'new' pictures to my google drive backup without going over the [whatever] terabyte limit and having to pay up, I've transferred all of the 'old phone' pictures to an external hard drive.

now i just need to convince myself to go all the way and delete them off my phone.
We should also note that most of these pictures are already (probably) on google photos. and amazons one that I had for awhile. And the microSD they were on in the first place from the old phone.

@sandiek The endless struggle of having too many photos and not wanting to pay a ton for cloud storage.

Especially with giant photography files.

I have two 7TB hard drives in my PC, and one external to backup everything away from the office. They're quite cheap.

@austinrichards right now i just moved them onto a 2TB external. Eventually they'll get moved to the 14TB server, and eventually THAT will get set up with its buddy into a synology and become a REAL server and will also hopefully be able to do backups.
