LNP always acts in the interests of Big Corporations and, in particular, the Mining Lobby. Any hint that a policy might make things more difficult for them* and it will be opposed.
And how is it opposed?
Not by being honest. "Oh the Mining Industry**" doesn't like it," they always, always lie that "it's in the (Aboriginal) people's best interests."
This is classic LNP behaviour.
