@historyofpunkrock During my first year of college at UC Berkeley in 1980, I vividly remember a group of mohawked punks hanging out at a BART station entrance with a boombox playing Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire". It seemed so anomalous to me at the time, then 10 years later, Social Distortion releases their version of "Ring of Fire", and suddenly it made sense. Great band.
