PlaticaBot now stores the history of your conversations, and comes with a history browser for MacOS and iOS.

I also merged a bunch of contributions from the community:

@Migueldeicaza oh, that looks nice. I saw a similar one for saving the conversations with chat gpt via a kind of extension in chrome that @simon made
@patoroco @simon nice! This was just a hack for my own use, so I don’t have to keep logging into ChatGPT and I have it on my desktop watch and phone
@Migueldeicaza @simon one (n00b) question: I’m paying for ChatGPT Plus, but I suppose that for hours, I’ll add more billing related to the proper OpenAI API itself or it’s going to be included on the proper subscription?
@patoroco @simon separate billings. I am paying for both
@Migueldeicaza @simon AFAIK, tha api was “expensive”, but I suppose that for personal usage is not a big deal. Could you share your aprox billing? I’m just starting in GPT world and I have much of curiosity :D

@patoroco @Migueldeicaza Most months I spend less than $1 with all of my different experiments playing around with the API

My most expensive month was January when I spent $16.81, but that was because I tried using the fine-tuning API and sent it 20 years of blog posts (costing over $8) and then did a bunch more experimental work writing this article: https://simonwillison.net/2023/Jan/13/semantic-search-answers/

How to implement Q&A against your documentation with GPT3, embeddings and Datasette

If you’ve spent any time with GPT-3 or ChatGPT, you’ve likely thought about how useful it would be if you could point them at a specific, current collection of text …

@simon @Migueldeicaza oh, something despicable then. I’ll give it a chance, but until now I’m really impressed “only” with chatGPT
