Women's basketball viewership is growing faster than men's basketball, and the most viewed women's game on ESPN this year has *higher* viewership than the most viewed men's basketball game.
All the excuses are falling away. Just like we said that they would.

The tickets are still more affordable, but that creates this extreme rush where they are *really* hard to get. The games and matches sell out way faster.

It's still affordable for local teams (e.g. NWSL), but that might not last.
I like OL Reign, Thorns FC, and Angel City. I can't call myself a real fan though, as I still haven't been to a game in person for either club (pandemic), and don't watch every game of the season for either team. I'd fail the "So you're an OL Reign fan? Then name every goal scored this season!" test.🙂
I like certain players: Rapinoe, Rose Lavelle, and Olivia Moultrie. At age 12, Moultrie turned down an NCAA "offer" to play for free at UNC. Her Nike deal was more than tuition anyway.
