@MarkRuffalo as a person from outside the United States, it blows my mind to know workers can't unionize (or that they find so many roadblocks they can't in practice) and that Union busting is a thing that is allowed and even encouraged by the system
@MarkRuffalo Meanwhile, just find a decent mom and pops coffee shop and leave your money with them.
@andbhold @MarkRuffalo can't, Starbucks killed them all
@andbhold @MarkRuffalo Yeah, in our town they forced four independent coffee shops to close when they started their local stores. Now they have one location across the street from another Starbucks and have forced it to close too. They're at the point of cannibalizing their own locations now. There's one place where there's a Starbucks store and then another Starbucks inside the Target store like three stores down. It's nuts.
@MarkRuffalo I agree with unionizing. But...why the hell are people getting coffee from Starbucks? It's crap, and overpriced, and there are way, way better alternatives.
@ccrashh @MarkRuffalo they're addicted to the caramel frappaccino monstrosities
@darwinwoodka @MarkRuffalo Yeah, I love when I see people order a dessert for breakfast: tell me you hate the taste of coffee without telling me you hate the taste of coffee :)
@MarkRuffalo
Starbucks coffee is overpriced, overroasted garbage IMHO.
@MarkRuffalo unfortunately only accepts US zip codes. We’d like to see no more union busting for Canadian outlets as well.
@SHoenle @MarkRuffalo That’s… really surprising considering the field is labeled “postcode”, which is not what USAns tend to call it.
@MarkRuffalo I’m boycotting Starbucks since the Nestle thugs bought a major stake in it.
@MarkRuffalo we shoulda broken up with Starbucks when they destroyed all the local coffee shops tho
@MarkRuffalo @darwinwoodka Or when they got rid of most of the non-sugary breakfast foods, like the cheap focaccia.
@MarkRuffalo Id consider signing, only thing I need to know is if starbucks workers would have the option to join the union or not or if they would be forced to join... As long as they have "right to work" (that is they can opt-out of the union and still be hired) I would be happy to support them.

@MarkRuffalo if my coffee costs slightly better so my neighbor can support themselves, take a sick day or get healthcare, I’m all about it!

Starbucks has shown poor faith throughout this process.

TELL Starbucks New CEO: Respect Workers’ Rights!

Starbucks' new CEO has a chance to turn the company around and treat workers with respect. Let's call on him to act! Starbucks, like so many corporations, is doing everything in its power to keep workers from winning their union and a fair contract. They know when we stand together, we're more powerful and can win the respect we've earned.
