French author Gisèle Pelicot brought together nearly 750 people - almost all women - to the Trinity St. Paul’s Church last Thursday, for her Toronto book launch. The book, “A Hymn to Life,” is riveting. Gisèle’s story is both horrific and triumphant. She does not hate and her message is simple - “Shame has to change sides.” I was honoured to be one of three readers, along with writer Ann Marie MacDonald, former MPP Dr. Jill Andrew, and, host Anna Maria Tremonti. My take on the incredible evening, below. Miigwetch Another Story Bookshop for the event.
