@layers Does the new sensor system negate the need for bed level visualizers and correction?
@layers Ask "Why are you not on Mastodon?" please!
@layers How quiet is it at speed?

@layers I dunno. I feel like the video answers almost all of mine. I'm thinking I'm going to have to save up for the MK3S->4 upgrade.

HOWEVER, they mention a stiffer frame and I can't imagine that is included in the upgrade, otherwise that would be essentially the ENTIRE printer they would be shipping as an upgrade. I would like to see a parts list of the upgrade but I don't yet see one on the upgrade product page.

This is the full upgrade that also contains the MK4’s new X/Y precise motors (400 steps, 0.9°per step). It’s the most expensive of all three, but last time you voiced your interest in a full MK2->MK3 upgrade pretty strongly, so we decided to give you a full MK4 upgrade as well. :-)This product is supplied as a kit - you must assemble it yourself!

@3DPrintingDad @layers But does it make sense to upgrade your old MK3s? for just a few more € you can get the MK4 kit and some pepole out the pay a lot for an MK3s.
@falki @layers You've got a good point. If I could get at least $300 for a 5-year-old MK3 (upgraded to an MK3S) that is in great condition, I'd come out ahead and have a fresh printer, should I get the MK4 kit. I'm
@layers I'm very interested in the ethernet connectivity, and whether they've gone with a straightforward 'serial over tcp/ip' that we can connect to using standard tools, or is it a more complicated protocol, eg http requests?
@layers ouch the mk3s -> mk4 upgrade was a bit pricey, maybe i need a second printer...
@layers What about OctoPrint? (the xBuddy has USB-C, so is the proper cable enough to get it working?)
@layers Another one: can we re-use the MK3S print sheets or do we need new ones?
@ziggy @layers It is the same heated bed. Only the z height was changed due to a shorter Extruder.
@layers How does the Frame and the Bedslinger Design keep up with the printing speed?
@layers how come they don't send out advance review models before releasing them to the public? How can I make a decision without the opinions of industry experts! (also, why the hell are Prusa not on Mastodon?)
@andy_warb @layers I didn't dare to ask the question... But why isn't Prusa on Mastodon? 😀
@layers when will other Nextruder Nozzles, esp. hardend Nozzle be available? I ask for a Revo Early adopter....
@falki @layers i would guess the V6 adapter from the XXL should also fit the MK4 and then every nozzle besides Revo can be used...
@danielkrah but also the adapter can not be ordered (yet)
@layers So you will get your Prusalive badge for printables?
Or do you plan to drive home early?
@danielkrah I don't know if I'd be a good fit as a guest for the first live after the MK4 announcement 😅
@layers Yeah and i think then you have to stay overnight.
(if not planned anyways)
@layers Woa, thanks for the heads up. I've had terrible luck with 3D printers for a decade (QU-BD, M3D Micro, Monoprice MP Mini Delta, and finally Lulbotz TAZ6) and have all but abandoned 3D printering. However, I have consistently heard that Prusa seems to be the most reliable brand, so _maybe_ the 5th time is the charm?
@layers How does the speed of the MK4 compare to the XL? The bed slinger is very open and easy to work on, but I assume it has to limit printing speed…
@layers Do they actually test the electronics in a heated chamber?
@layers why "Mk4" if same movement system? Why not core x/y? (What are the trade offs? Why not sell a smaller XL, since they already designed one and showed it off as part of the print-wall thing just prior to announcing the XL?)
@layers will the g sensor be an extra item ? And when will the adapter for m6 nozzle be available. Or is it included? Thanks
@layers will I be able to order the printer or an upgrade kit from Printed Solid?
@layers I thought of another: In Haribo, how involved is the full MK4 kit build?
@layers can you please ask if there is any difference between the print sheets for the mk4 and the mk3. Can we use the „old“ ones from the mk3 with the new mk4 printer.
@layers i want to know everything !!! About its Extruder.
@layers If 0.4 mm nozzles are obsolete, why does the MK4 ship with one ;-)
