@thewritertype You mean like a nation is a contract between it’s members (though most people are non-consensually forced to participate) and not a religion.

It’s really hard to make masses work together by reasoning with them, but for some reason claiming it’s magic seems to work. This is likely the reason why organized religion was invented in the first place. Flags and national identities are just a modern religion.
