Top 5 questions I’m asked as an American living in Australia:

- Are U.S. portions sizes really as big as they say? (Yes)

- Why do Americans have such straight white teeth? (Cultural norms)

- Will the U.S. will fall apart soon? (Hope not)

- Does every American have a gun? (No, but some have a lot of them)

- How do you send your kids to U.S. schools every day given mass shootings? (I really don’t know)

I should add, I’m returning to the US in a few weeks, but have immensely enjoyed living in Brisbane since last summer. It’s now my favorite city. /2
@Sheril .....says someone who hasn't lived in Sydney 😸
@Sheril Great to hear! What is it that you have enjoyed about living in Brisbane? What would make it better?
@webber I don’t drive bc everything is so accessible. The city & residents value sustainability & cultural heritage. Incredible food & a thriving arts scene. Beautiful large free parks & gardens. Excellent public transportation. Love the school our children attend. State of the art technology. Great universities. Ideal city for families. A healthcare system that works. I could really go on and on….
@Sheril @webber Went there for a week on a business week. Discovered South Bank and used to chill in the sun after meetings.
