The GOP’s response to gun violence:

Arm the teachers!
Arm the ministers!
Arm the children!

These are not serious solutions, just convenient, never ending excuses for inaction. The assault weapons ban must be reinstated — the greed of gun manufacturers be damned.

@rbreich A teacher commented that they don't even trust teachers with books, so why would they trust them with guns?

All I know is that I could *not* imagine my 5’2” 50-something art teacher with a gun. And I *don’t* want to imagine my 6’2” anger-management-challenged loud-mouthed phys-ed teacher with a gun either.
