Yesterday I was invited to do a technical talk LIVE in Spanish, to native Spanish speakers who are at the top of their fields.

I said yes.

Now experiencing that familiar fear, like a commitment hangover the day after letting your excitement do the talking.

In my experience, confidence is a sure sign that you're the right person for the job. It implies that you have valuable things to share and consciously or unconsciously know how to surmount the obstacles you'll face in preparing and delivering the talk.

@Hatsworth Thanks so much for the encouragement! I'm still glad I said yes, because it sounds like a fun opportunity. Definitely an n+1 opportunity though (where n is my comfort level). I'm trepidatiously looking forward to it. :)
