Maybe if our elected officials’ neighborhood email groups were full of stories about recent gun violence they’d do something more than hopes and prayers. Obviously the real danger is trans kids and not people with guns.

I am very angry right now for the lives lost in my neighborhood this week. There were at least 3 shootings in Nashville between Sat night and Monday morning.

So now besides dealing with all the terrible things the state is doing to our LQBTQIA+ folks and those messages I receive regularly, I now have shooting emails in the neighborhood groups. Cos you know hopes and prayers protect more kids than actually protecting kids via gun laws, licensing, education and supporting mental health services

But hey we have mother fucking hopes and prayers. Yeah I’m angry

@lil_lost run for governor :D
@Viss my new gerrymandered congress person is one of those semi-automatic for everyone around the Christmas tree types. I don’t think I can win against that
@lil_lost run anyway - if nothing else it'll signal "we're coming for you"
@Viss honestly, there are good ppl running. I’d rather put my efforts behind them than divert attention. I also cannot handle the personal scrutiny, same reason I didn’t go into forensics. But no joke this happened less than 5 miles from the statehouse and today after it, someone proposed a bill to lock doors. Most of them need to go, the Nashville and Memphis reps have some sense
@lil_lost shees, what a mess. hopefully things get moving faster after this
