It's not the audits or auditors that are the problem - the article is incorrect (as is CRA) in saying that.

The problem comes when they attack structure IN COURT. Justice lawyers are simply not good enough to obtain decisions or convictions. CRA loses most of the GAAR cases as well. (Justice does the legal work for CRA.)

Auditors overstep and overreach in easier cases and CRA still loses when legally challenged.

...and then there was #KPMGscam where everyone knew about the illegal plan and CRA signed off on NOT prosecuting and NOT charging penalties.

Nobody was fired.
Bob Hamilton is still head of CRA.
Di LeBoot is still Minister.
