Vincent BattsPSA: The #debian 12/bookworm boot splash does not account for encrypted disk password entry. If you hit ESC, you'll see the prompt for your passphrase.
It seems the issue I'm seeing is when you have the default "emerald" theme on widescreen (or maybe external) display. It shows up correctly on a tiny 4:3 display
