Last night, the gates of my hometown's city hall were set on fire

If you're wondering what is going on in #France, this is about a lot more than pension reform

The pension reform is unjust in & of itself (women & poor people will be the ones most impacted). But the rage French people are expressing right now is about Macron's hatred for democracy. Since his reelection just one year ago, he has bypassed parliament 11 times, more than all govs in the previous 20 years put together

UPDATE below

@raph @ApNudd Sorry, but this view is incredibly biased. If you want to know what is going on in France, here it is :
Someone finally has the guts to signal the end of school break. It’s time to face a few realities and look around.
France is a beautiful, social-minded and healthcare-minded country.
We enjoy free excellent healthcare, free excellent education, and yes, it’s a democracy.
Macron was elected, he’s doing what’s needed.
This level of violence is not acceptable.

@raph @ApNudd He still was elected democratically.
And I do confirm : France IS a beautiful country.
All is not perfect of course, but if you look around to what’s going on in other countries, we’re pretty well treated…
