#JohnWick4 is the only movie I'm willing to go to a theater for, but... I'm still not sure if I actually want to go 🤔

Tickets are expensive, snacks are expensive, can't pause for toilet breaks, no subtitles, there's a bunch of strangers around, volume is loud, chairs are less comfortable.... Is it really worth all the spoons?!

@sylphrin I feel exactly the same, only in my case it's Suzume not John Wick.
Ah, the struggles!
@sylphrin Yes, by all means yes! It’s only time I like being around other people (especially for comedies or horror - the communal experience is part of the wonder!)
@adamvadnais oh man I HATE going to the theatre for horrors! Completely ruins the immersion for me hearing other people shuffling around 😂 (glad you enjoy it though!!)

@sylphrin Oh god why would anyone subject themselves to that?

In the before times we used to see movies in the theater all the time! It was only a couple weekends ago that SageIris & I got back to a theater to see Scream VI.

@sylphrin It's the rustling that gets me. Last movie I went to ALL I could hear was rustling and chewing. It went on the whole movie. Never going again 😅
@ChrisJagged Yes, the rustling and chewing noises are the worst!! I saw A Quiet Place in the theaters and it was like 90% of the noise, it sucked!

@sylphrin Oh yeah, the Quiet Place would be the worst of the worst, haha.

The people I went with didn't even notice. Meanwhile I was squirming throughout.

@ChrisJagged same!! I came out of the movie and the people I went with were like "oh man that was awesome, I'm so glad we came to see this in theaters! The immersion was so much better om a big screen!" and I was just like.... "we're we in the same room?!?"
@sylphrin
As much as they want you to, don’t forget that COVID is still around…
