Another 600 trees in the ground in Northamptonshire with amazing volunteers from Acer and Google.

At the end a dog walker stopped for a chat. They’ve got about three acres of unused land they’d like to plant nearby, so were gonna do it. 🙌🏻

@Philsturgeon support for tree-planting from Acer is nicely ironic.

@camross it’s always appreciated when people plant our trees and help us cover staff wages, but I don’t get into singing praises or arguing about their business.

I believe it’s part of a “greener laptop” campaign, where they’re using loads more recycled content than the average laptop.

Not looked into whether it’s better or worse than my MacBook Pro, but greenpeace gave Apple a pretty low score a few years back. https://www.acer.com/gb-en/laptops/aspire/aspire-vero

@Philsturgeon I didn't mean it to be that deep, Phil. Rather, that an Acer is a type of tree. Apologies, didn't mean any offence to you or them!
@camross ahahaha brilliant. Sorry for being thick. I’ve got a mixture of techies and tree types on here so I was expecting to hear that Acer is making their laptops out of ground up unicorn horns or something.
