Do wish Ubuntu would hurry up and adopt Adwaita. Quick Settings in 23.04 looks so half-hearted compared to upstream GNOME. That heavily diluted orange accent colour on buttons is just so… bluurgh.
@omgubuntu but we’re uBuNtU we do things our way. /s (maybe).
@omgubuntu I wonder if I or someone else spent a couple hours polishing up the CSS if they’d accept the contribution, or if this is how they *want* it to look? 🤔
@cassidy @omgubuntu contributions are always welcome for improvements :)
@omgubuntu Looks okay to me…
Also, the left one is dark while not being in dark mode q:

@omgubuntu the only thing I've always liked about Yaru more than Adwaita were the symbolic icons, everything else feels like a step behind. 😅

Oh Ubuntu GNOME, why did you have to leave us. 🤣 But then again, my Fedora experiments are going well so far, so perhaps after a decade of Ubuntu, they've finally lost me for good. 😅

@omgubuntu somebody at Ubuntu must tell mark shuttleworth that ubuntu's color scheme needs to be upgraded. It was nice like 10 years ago but they no longer even have their own desktop environment to make it work.
@omgubuntu No... just, no.
Same thing, different color. Picking at straws here.
@omgubuntu yes, become homogeneous with Gnome. Drive more users to KDE, where a users choice on appearance still matters.
@omgubuntu One's as bland and flat as the other.
@omgubuntu Been with Ubuntu since 6.10 Edgy Eft, but it's been losing it's shine over the last few years. Two many bad decisions, and it doesn't feel like a friendly community-centric place any more. The last 10 months I've been using Fedora more and more, GNOME deserves the criticisms it gets, but as a desktop I can make it workable with 22(!) extensions. Ubuntu has pretty much lost me forever now. If only Fedora had the same (good) font rendering though!
@omgubuntu Zorin will be beautiful if we get this! 😍
