Those well-written things were edited. Always. I'm editing something right now at an average of 35 edits/page

@Rudydoesbooks Sadly, even scholars, and scientists, who should know better think of words as mere vessels for their ideas and thus think of editors as fixing the vessels and not, as they should, as actually refining the ideas and possibly even shaping them.
