Emi think one thing that would make the X-files more appealing for a modern audience is if Mulder had an alien wife. and every episode hes like "my wife is out there" "i have to find my wife" and like asking every alien of the week about his wife.
and Scully's like "you don't have a wife", "you're such a loser", you know, "aliens arent even real" but then in the final episode they meet Mulder's wife and shes like a crazy slug or a little green man and she's like "ohh Mulder i'm so happy we found you, we looked all over the galaxy, let's go home sweetie" and Mulder takes off his human suit and gets into the space ship and then Scully's just standing there and shes like. "well THAT just happened!" One billion dollars easy.

- "Yeah, sure Mulder. Sure she does."
