We stayed in a small hotel in Chipping Campden (my first visit to a beautiful town with great pubs) we were transferred to Toddington Station to catch the train (the person who organised the trip booked a private compartment for the 6 of us - I remember them from my trainspotting days in the 1970's!!) As well as the ticket price, an obligatory bottle of champagne was purchased to help with railway running costs! The journey terminated at the racecourse.
