KatieMy new essay "We Must Be Magnificent" is about depictions of generational trauma in EEAAO and Undone. Both pieces dive deep on what it means to heal from generational trauma, and I wanted to bring them into conversation with each other.
While I was working on this I couldn't help but think about how truly whacked the world is right now. I put all my hope, optimism, and personal strength into it, and I hope it lends you some of those things.
