Deeply troubling story that I think should make it clearer at the top that this about a bunch of racist, snowflake goons terrorizing a bakery and its young employees because they did a nice thing. https://www.washingtonpost.com/food/2023/03/10/red-truck-bakery-protests-warrenton/
A Va. bakery gave BLM activists free coffee. Then came the backlash.

Red Truck Bakery closed for three days after protesters harassed the shop, alleging it was catering to BLM activists but not those allied with All Lives Matter.

@froomkin I read about this right after it happened and it absolutely couldn't be clearer that this started with a Karen terrified of her own shadow making a huge deal out of nothing.
@froomkin what ad-tech dataset can I buy that will tell me the barista tipping habits of people who own an "All Lives Matter" t-shirt?
@froomkin They use intimidation and violence as a weapon because they don't have truth and decency on their side. I'd rather be part of the "woke mob" than part of a regular mob.

@Litzz11 @froomkin I'd rather have woke mind virus than the Nazi mind virus.

Especially since "woke" doesn't exist and Nazi does.

@froomkin Investigative media should look more widely -- this may be part of a much bigger, organized terrorist threat.

The Michigan shops are LGBTQ+ friendly; not known if the Kentucky shop is likewise inclusive.

'Extremely disturbing': Coffee shops in Detroit, Lansing close after receiving threats

Three coffee shops in Detroit and Lansing have closed their doors after receiving concerning letters filled with anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and hate speech directed toward various groups.

WXYZ 7 Action News Detroit
@froomkin My favorite part is where they sit down to have coffee, the "All Lives Matter" "activist" asks the shop owner to alter the behavior of other people whom he doesn't know, then becomes irate when he don't humor the request. Then, when reached for comment, the "activist" blamed it on Sicilian heritage, which is *exceptionally* odd for a member of a crowd for whom forty years is supposedly "ancient history" with no bearing on the present. *Sigh*
@froomkin Strange — I thought these people were in favor of small businesses running things however they want. Bakeries in particular.
