Yes, I know the Mastodon Scolds will yell at me for mentioning this, but the more I use this, the more I miss having usable search and quote-post features.

Yes, I've heard the arguments against them, and am aware of the kludgy workarounds. And, if it helps, I acknowledge that wanting these features is evidence of my bad character. But I'm increasingly convinced that the absence of search and QT severely limits the usefulness of the Mastodon/Fediverse.
