Just in case you weren't angry enough....

"The BBC has decided not to broadcast an episode of David Attenborough’s flagship new series on British wildlife because of fears its themes of the destruction of nature would risk a backlash from Tory politicians and the rightwing press"

BBC will not broadcast Attenborough episode over fear of ‘rightwing backlash’

The Guardian

When you censor your science based documentary, in case it upsets people, you've lost.

You've lost your credibility, you've lost your morals, and you're contributing to the further expansion of the ignorant.

The BBC is the gov's mouthpiece. Always has been. That it won't broadcast facts shows the sorry state we're all in.

And they've pulled Lineker from Match of the Day - because being critical of the _British_ government on the BBC is over the line, though being critical of foreign one's such a Qatar's was A-OK.

Ignore the £800k loan the current BBC Director facilitated for Boris. Having been found to un-ethically not mention it, as UK lawmakers revealed. Total coincidence.

BBC head under pressure over loan to ex-PM Boris Johnson

The opposition Labour Party called for Richard Sharp to step down after a report found he made "significant errors of judgment" in helping former Prime Minister Boris Johnson to get a loan worth nearly $1 million.

The BBC being bullied/lectured on probity by a minister who has already been forced to resign once, recently, for breaching the code.

The stench of hypocrisy and corruption since at least 2015 has been growing ever-more overpowering.

@clarebee WHAT THE ABSOLUTE HELL?!?!?!
@clarebee
You can watch that episode on BBC catch up apparently
@clarebee
We can't say how the environment is being damaged, in case those causing the damage might get offended!
@clarebee and now Gary Lineker has been persuaded to step back from presenting duties, for having the gall to suggest that some government language was reminiscent of the 1930s… https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/mar/10/gary-lineker-step-back-match-of-the-day-bbc?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
Match of the Day to air without presenter or pundits after Gary Lineker’s suspension

BBC commentators also refusing to appear after corporation takes its highest-paid presenter off air over impartiality concerns

The Guardian

@wighthatmike And even that turns out to be worse than it sounds:
"NEW: Sky News understands the BBC statement on Gary Lineker is incorrect.

That Lineker has not agreed to 'step back', and has instead been taken off air as he is unwilling to apologise for his comments this week on social media."

@clarebee Armando Iannucci doing a pretty good job showing the government up on Radio 4 right now…
