"End the Internet"
Poster seen in Seattle
@RadicalGraffiti don't mind if I do *eats the internet, the information of humanity swelling my belly*
@RadicalGraffiti In mah bellaaay !!! Seriously tempted to disconnect at times. Instant Freedom.
@RadicalGraffiti I'm sadden when I think back in the mid 90's and logging on this wondrous internet and all the information and possibilities that lay within - and then now seeing 'we' used it for conspiracies and fear and lowest common denominator.
@RadicalGraffiti The internet should be protected at all costs. It's the most powerful means of free association developed by humanity thus far
@anoreon The EU wants to have global control of the Internet. They are too big for their britches. Quad-9 dns is appealing their order to block the Evanesence (sp?) album worldwide from a specific site, not just within the EU, like it should have been. The right place to block this album is the regional NIC, not the dns provider.
@PirateRoberts The right place to block the album is nowhere, everyone should be able to download and use it freely
@anoreon If only copyright still followed the principles of the Statue of Anne and what is written in the Constitution. Works should enter the public domain after 28 years.
@PirateRoberts All intellectual property should be abolished.
@anoreon Intellectual property should not be abolished. But, realize that copying a copyrighted work is not theft. Theft requires to an intent to permanently deprive someone of something. The owner still has access to the original.
#copyright #statuteofanne #intellectualproperty #intellectualpropertytheft #theft

@PirateRoberts What part of intellectual property do you think is important to preserve? The government enforced monopolies, the limitation of innovation by preventing anyone from improving upon patents, or the cultural stagnation caused by copyright?

If you realize theft is incoherent for ideas then you should also realize property is incoherent as a concept for ideas, and nobody should be able to claim ownership of them, since to do so would be to claim ownership over other peoples minds.

@RadicalGraffiti It was viral marketing for what amounted to being a fiction novel promotion.
