Some #TravelPhotography from #OnThisDay in 2016. We were in fantastic #Ushuaia, #Argentina and spent a few hours at the start of it taking a boat ride down the #BeagleChannel to see sea lions and this #lighthouse, Les Eclaireurs, also known to Argentinians as the Lighthouse at the End of the World. In Ushuaia we caught a protest against the government (second time in Argentina) and a friend of ours joined the march and held up a sign.
Lovely. I also took a ‘cruise’ down the Beagal Channel on a very small boat. We saw lots of boats and a leopard seal!
I made a special effort to get to Isla Magdalena in the Strait of Magellan. Lots of penguins!
We found Ushuaia astonishingly beautiful with the Martial Mountains surrounding it. We didn't see any penguins on this day here but had seen some a few days before in Punta Tombo.
Make that ‘birds…’,lots of very large boats too. They dwarfed us but we were closer to the ‘action’.
I’m glad of my gloves & hat as we were all in open cockpit drinking mate!
