this guy was iceland's person of the year in 2022, has done more productive work and more good for humanity than elon by a wide margin
and is currently getting mocked by the richest man in the world and his hooting apes as though he's an Engineer-1 who's trying to bluster through a code review (which would still be incredibly assholish behavior by elon and co)
Does elon delete these tweets when he realizes he's cry-laughing at a person with muscular dystrophy who has won national awards both for his design work and also his material contributions to equality and disability causes? Nope.
This is an incredible level of shitty behavior and being an abhorrent human being, even for Elon. Holding his contract hostage after taking his company and making him grovel in public to determine if he gets paid what his contract owes is some next level psychopathy.
This guy took a salary for the sale of his company so he’d pay the maximum tax in Iceland vs a lump sum, so he’s probably owed a lot of money.
I’m sure with the way courts have ruled in Elon’s favor this guy will get what he’s owed.

Arguments about disability and what work he has done aside, it seems pretty clear that he is being paid for the sale of his company. He is pretty much collecting paychecks as an installment plan, so any work he accomplishes at all is gravy, frankly. I hope they have to pay the guy an exorbitant amount for breaking contract.

wow. the guy, Halli, that Elon Musk has been mocking is not only a class act, but was literally on a list of "do not fire" VIPs because of how expensive his exit package was (likely because, if what Halli's other tweets say are true, Twitter acquired his company for a good price)
Further down in the quoted thread, they link to a part of the article that says Halli elected to receive the buyout payment for Ueno as a salary, rather than as a lump-sum buyout, because the latter would be taxed as capital gains (less) and Halli was fine with paying salary income taxes (more) because he'd benefitted from the Icelandic social system and wanted to give back at that level instead.
