"Could this video have been a blogpost?"
@neil Making a video probably lends itself nicely to engagement with a different kind of an audience. For example, you see well produced programming tutorials and technology comparisons etc. - the same information could be contained in a text post with images, yet it would be consumed differently and would reach a different audience (and I guess the monetization would also be different).
@neil approximately 100% of the time
@neil Most 10 minute and 5 seconds videos could be an old 140 character tweet.
@neil @donmelton As a broadcast video editor with 15 years of experience, I fully agree.
@neil for me its the excat opisite as i suck at reading. i use tts for nearly everything.

@neil It can be so frustrating. There’s a time and a place for video; That time and place is when I’m sat at my desk, wearing headphones.

Any other time, it’s text or nothing. Unless that video is the only way I can get the information, to the point where it’s worth me saving the link and viewing it later, I’m skipping the video post and going elsewhere.

@neil Enjoyed your seven word TED Talk.

Looking forward to the video.

AND the TED Books.
