It is happening in the UK too, although I'm increasingly worried that there may soon be no safe place for trans people to displace to. Two of the three candidates for leadership of the SNP, and thus of the Scottish government, publicly oppose trans rights.
Things are suddenly looking pretty bad here.
@micheinnz In Scotland, it looked as if we had won. Just three months ago, members of every single party in our parliament voted in favour of #SelfID. The parliament passed it by 86 votes to 39.
To go from that to where we are now in three months is... rapid.
